Our team submits documents in Zimbabwe for applicants who live outside the country. Application forms can be dropped off at, or sent to, any of our branches.
Birth certificates for children born abroad
Once we have the documents below, we can apply for a Zimbabwean birth certificate for a child born outside the country.
- The child’s foreign birth certificate, if applicable
- Birth record or health card
- The mother’s Zimbabwean ID, birth certificate and passport
- The father’s Zimbabwean ID, birth certificate and passport
- Marriage certificate, if applicable
- Consulate fees
Confirming a Zimbabwean driver’s licence
Where confirmation of a Zimbabwean licence is needed, we facilitate the process with the CVR in Zimbabwe and the consulate or embassy.

Emergency travel documents
If you must return to Zimbabwe without a passport, you will need an emergency or temporary travel document.
An ETD or TTD can only be used to travel back to Zimbabwe. It cannot be used to enter any other country.
