Accompanying Spouse and Child Visas

For families moving with a primary visa holder.

When you move to South Africa on a temporary residence visa, your spouse, life partner and children can apply to accompany you for the duration of your stay.

Accompanying spouse visas

These visas allow heterosexual and homosexual spouses and life partners to accompany their spouse or partner on a temporary residence basis in South Africa.

Accompanying child visitor’s visas

These visas allow dependants to accompany their parents or legal guardians on a temporary residence basis for the duration of the primary applicant’s stay.

Dependants who are full-time students or scholars will need study visas.
